18. Use baskets for storage

These days, kitchen cabinets don't just house shelves: there are a whole host of other storage solutions that make life easier and make use of otherwise wasted space.
Your cupboards and drawers are your biggest storage resource but it’s likely that they’re not being used fully in your small kitchen ideas. Internal storage solutions will make the most of them, so think about retrofitting wire racks that pull out of corners or slim cupboards, some plinth drawers, or using drawer dividers for utensils, spices, pans or plates. You can boost your storage further with a mobile solution, such as a trolley or butcher’s block on castors, or think about popping baskets or containers on top of your wall cupboards. Just keep a sturdy stool nearby so you can reach them.
19. Add extra seating to your small kitchen
The last process when designing a kitchen for a small space is what colour and finishes can we use in the kitchen. If space is limited, white is your best friend. White will reflect the light within the kitchen and enhance the sense of space as well. By incorporating different shades of white and different textures in the walls and cabinetry it will eliminate that sterile feel from an all white room. By adding some feature glass cabinet doors as well, this will also soften the room as well as add some interest to the kitchen area. A lot of clients are requesting the hand-less design and sleek look from an all white kitchen.
Like in the example above, use light colours to make the space feel larger. Dark colours make the room feel even smaller. Carefully consider your colour options for the cabinets and walls. If you are unable to change the colour of the cabinets or walls and they happen to have a dark tone, consider updating instead your lighting. Install led strips under the cabinets or shelves. These energy-efficient models will be adding an extra impact to your kitchen without leaving a big footprint. Incorporate into your new décor scheme a lighter paint colour for the walls. If possible, opt for a high gloss kitchen finish for a contemporary updated look and feel to the space.
21. Use concealed storage
One of the biggest emerging trends in small kitchen design is concealed kitchens. The cabinets are so stylish it's easy to forget they're designed for storage, appliances that disappear before your eyes, and touchable textures that make you think you're in the living or dining room. More and more, designers are giving us the ability to hide or camouflage parts of the kitchen at our own choosing. 36. Put up artwork
If you’re getting shots of yourself, make sure anything that can be seen on screen is clean and free from clutter. A blank, single-color wall is a great background, but if you don’t have access to that, just make sure that your setting is as free from distractions as possible. You want your viewers focused on you, not the artwork on your wall. If your video includes a screen capture or screen recording, clutter on your computer screen is just as distracting. And there’s nothing worse than having to fumble through unnecessary apps and programs to get what you actually want to show in your video.
